Ceremony Under the Pecan Grove

The ceremony site at CJ's Off the Square is situated beneath a canopy of towering pecan trees, which creates an organic cathedral effect that no man-made structure could replicate. For ceremonies here, I recommend a start time of around 5:00 PM during the warmer months. This positions the ceremony in beautiful late-afternoon light while leaving plenty of time for couple portraits before the reception begins. The tree canopy provides natural shade, which means even on bright sunny days the light on your faces will be soft and even. After the ceremony, I like to pull couples aside for fifteen to twenty minutes of portraits in the garden while guests enjoy cocktail hour.
